Snippets and Templates
Prepare Compelling and Timely Communications
Table of Contents

Emailing patrons about upcoming events and opportunities is a great way to keep in touch with your audience, but writing a newsletter or membership announcement every month or week can be a hassle. Fortunately, Agile doesn’t make you start from scratch with every email. Our Emails and Letters feature provides two time-saving tools: Snippets, which let you store arrangements of text and images, and Templates, which let you layout an entire message ahead of time to reuse again and again when making new emails. Snippets and Templates make it easy to plug your audience back into what's new and happening at your organization and offer them opportunities to engage in a thriving relationship with your organization.
Remember, Snippets and Templates are only available in Web Portal. Sign in to portal.agiletix.com to get working on some Advanced Snippets.
If you're not sure how to begin, here are a few ideas to get started:
Email Signature
Email signatures distinguish your messages and set them apart from spam and other promotions in your patrons’ inboxes, but formatting a name, address, and phone number at the end of every email gets old quick. Setting up an Email Signature Snippet won’t just save you time, it will also help you update signature fields across all your letters if someone transitions to a new role at your organization. Replace the signature in the snippet, and every email it attaches to will be updated.

Event Snapshots or Mini Playbills
This is the epitome of plug-and-play. Setting up a Snippet with an Event Name and Short Description lets you take advantage of all the work you’ve done to enter Event Information in the system for sales. You can even put these elements inside a table or grid to make them even more organized on the page or browser. (Having a hard time finding media for a film online? Consider enabling our Movie Database Integration.)

Membership Upsell
The best fundraisers know that there is never an off-season. Add a membership promotion like a dash of salt to the end of any email, and patrons will always know how to support your organization You can make a button or graphic that launches your membership page in a new tab.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can even insert a Table and set its border to “0”. This will let you use the Table as an invisible grid, letting you gain even more control over how your text and graphics appear.
